Alan D. Levenstein

Alan Levenstein brings to Houlon, Berman, Bergman, Finci, Levenstein & Skok more than 18 years of experience across a range of practice areas, including personal injury, family law and Maryland workers’ compensation.  He also assists clients with criminal and traffic matters and general civil litigation in Federal and state courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia.  Over the years, he has been an unwavering advocate for his clients, securing successful outcomes and recovering many millions of dollars for injured claimants. 

Alan is a member of the Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, Maryland State and District of Columbia Bar Associations, as well as the American Association for Justice and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association.  He has also been successfully screened under the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Legal Services Network’s standards for experience and customer service. In recognition of his various achievements, Alan was selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers^® list for both Maryland and the District of Columbia in 2007 and 2011. In June 2010, Alan was certified as a life member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum for achieving a verdict, award, or settlement in the amount of one million dollars and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum for achieving a verdict, award, or settlement in the amount of two million dollars or more.

A native Washingtonian, Alan earned his Bachelor’s degree in 1985 from the University of Maryland—and remains an ardent fan of Terrapin basketball.  He earned his law degree in 1990 from the University of Baltimore.  Alan has spoken on many occasions to Montgomery County students to help educate them about the legal system.  He is an advocate for autism research and has helped raise thousands of dollars in an effort to find a cure for this neurological disorder.  An avid golfer, he resides in Olney, Maryland with his wife and two sons.
