Ronald B. Bergman

Ronald (Ron) Bergman has been with Houlon, Berman, Bergman, Finci, Levenstein & Skok since shortly after it opened its doors.  Over the years, he has secured millions of dollars of recoveries on behalf of clients, including one settlement valued at more than $2.5 million.  He focuses on complex litigation related to negligence, domestic relations, criminal charges, real estate, and commercial law and represents clients in the state and Federal courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Ron also practices collaborative law, an advanced alternate dispute resolution process that provides an alternative to court for family and business law clients.  In addition, he lectures widely on various family law and professionalism topics and was recently elected to a third consecutive term on the Maryland State Bar Association Family and Juvenile Law Council, an advisory body comprised of prominent family law practitioners and judges from across the state.

Ron is a member of the Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, Maryland State and District of Columbia Bar Associations, American Association for Justice and Maryland Trial Lawyers Association.  He is also active in several local and statewide collaborative law professional organizations and is the founder and president of the Collaborative Professionals of Southern Maryland.  In honor of his achievements, Ron was selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers® list for both Maryland and the District of Columbia in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Ron earned his Bachelor’s degree in 1970 from the University of Delaware and his law degree in 1973 from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.  He has a keen interest in nature and the environment, and when not aggressively working on behalf of clients, enjoys travel adventures with his family.
