Stuart Skok is a principal of Houlon, Berman, Finci, Levenstein, Skok & Sandler, and heads up the Family Law team in the Rockville branch.
As an experienced family lawyer in Maryland for over 20 years, her practice is devoted to divorce, custody and family law matters, in court and out of court. She is certified in Divorce Mediation and Collaborative Law, and has particular experience with domestic cases involving special needs children. She was most recently featured by Super Lawyers® for her work in special needs cases.

Stuart has been a leader in the legal community throughout her career. She has been actively involved in the collaborative divorce community since it began in Maryland in 2007. She served as President of Collaborative Divorce Association, Inc. (CDA), and Board member. She has twice served as Co-Chair of the Family Law Section for Montgomery County Bar Association, named Co-Chair of the year each term. She served as President of the Montgomery County Women’s Bar Association, has testified before the House Judiciary Committee on family law legislation, and has been a Pupil and Barrister with the Montgomery Inn of Court. She serves on the Peer Review Panel for the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland, and is a Bar Leader for the Montgomery County Bar Association.
Stuart is a member of the Maryland State and Federal Courts, District of Columbia State Bar and United States Supreme Court. Stuart grew up in Maryland and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver. She received her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law. She gained her interest in the law through her late father, L. Manning Muntzing, who was an international nuclear lawyer in D.C. and former President of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and her grandfather, Gus H. Muntzing, former Circuit Judge in Hardy County, West Virginia, and alumni of West Virginia University College of Law. She resides in Gaithersburg with her husband and children.
Stuart is actively involved with the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County to help fundraise, increase awareness and enhance services for children with special needs, as a parent of a child with special needs. In her spare time, Stuart enjoys the outdoors, yoga and time with her family and friends.
