Stuart Muntzing Skok

Stuart Skok is the newest principal of Houlon, Berman, Bergman, Finci, Levenstein & Skok, practicing out of the Rockville branch. Her practice is devoted to complex divorce, custody and family law matters. She is certified in Divorce Mediation and Collaborative Law. She published a Handbook on Separation and Divorce and frequently lectures on family law issues. She has twice served as Co-Chair of the Family Law Section for Montgomery County Bar Association, and named Co-Chair of the Year for each term. She has served as President of the Montgomery County Women's Bar Association, has testified before the Maryland House Judiciary Committee on family law legislation, has been a Pupil and Barrister with the Montgomery Inn of Court, is on the Peer Review Panel for the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland, and is Bar Leader for the Montgomery County Bar Association.

Stuart is a member of the Maryland State and Federal Courts, District of Columbia State Bar and United States Supreme Court. She is a member of various Collaborative divorce groups and serves on the Board of Collaborative Divorce Association, Inc. Stuart was named by Super Lawyers® as one of the top family law attorneys in Maryland and Washington District of Columbia in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Super Lawyers® also named Stuart as one of the Top 25 Female Attorneys in Maryland.

Stuart grew up in Maryland and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver in 1991. She received her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law in 1995. She resides in Darnestown with her husband, a real estate attorney, and their two children. She is actively involved with the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County to help fundraise, increase awareness and enhance services for children with special needs. In her spare time, Stuart enjoys the outdoors, yoga and time with her family and friends.
