Olivia K. Lerner joined Houlon Berman as an Associate Attorney in September 2025. At Houlon Berman, Olivia’s practice is primarily focused on family law and general civil litigation matters. She is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Olivia graduated from Emory University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. She then earned her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School in 2024, where she received the Dean’s Recognition for Professional Development, the Pro Bono Recognition, and the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. During law school, Olivia served as an Articles Editor for the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal. She brings a strong analytical background, legal research and writing skills, and longstanding dedication to the firm.
After graduating from GW Law, Olivia clerked for the Honorable Steven B. Gould on the Supreme Court of Maryland for the 2024 Term. She previously served as an intern in Justice Gould’s chambers while in law school.
Olivia’s connection to Houlon Berman began well before she became an attorney. She worked with the firm as an undergraduate summer intern, as a paralegal, and as a summer law clerk, gaining hands-on experience across a range of matters that shaped her commitment to client-focused advocacy.
