Houlon Berman’s managing partner, Richard A. Finci, a member of the Maryland State Commission on Criminal Sentencing Policy since 2003 has been appointed by the Commission to its influential Sentencing Guidelines Subcommittee. The Subcommittee is charged with reviewing the classification of new offenses under Maryland’s sentencing guidelines, review of sentencing procedures in Maryland State Courts and addresses policy considerations concerning Maryland’s sentencing guidelines prior to review by the entire Commission. Richard will serve as the State-wide defense bar representative on the Guidelines Subcommittee.
